How Laser Skin Rejuvenation Works
Laser skin rejuvenation uses focused light or energy to target specific concerns within the skin. Depending on the device, treatment may break apart pigments, reduce visible blood vessels, resurface damaged skin, or stimulate fibroblastic function to enhance hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastic fiber production.
This process helps improve the appearance of tone, texture, firmness, wrinkles, scars, and discoloration over time. In many cases, laser treatment can also be combined with injectables, skincare, or skin tightening technologies to create more comprehensive rejuvenation.

Experience the Stunning Results of Take10 and Take5 Treatments
At Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, we’ve developed two revolutionary approaches that combine multiple laser technologies in a single session to deliver remarkable rejuvenation without surgery.
Take 10 Years Off Your Appearance
Our exclusive Take10 treatment can help you:
Address All Your Concerns in One Treatment Take10 takes a holistic view of your rejuvenation journey, expertly addressing multiple concerns in a single session. Whether it’s stubborn brown and red spots, bothersome wrinkles, or lax skin, Take10 provides a tailored solution to tackle all your aesthetic needs.
Get Surgical-Like Results, Minus the Surgery Take10 is a revolutionary non-surgical alternative to a facelift that brings the same level of rejuvenation without the associated risks, scarring, or extended recovery time.
Combine 3+ Lasers for Maximum Impact The Take10 combines multiple treatments including resurfacing lasers, into one session to bring maximum results in minimal time.
Recovery: 7-10 Days of Sunburn-Like Healing Because the treatments are combined into one session, downtime is significantly reduced compared to surgical options. Take10 involves 7-10+ days of recovery that feels like a sunburn, while surgical downtime typically involves 4-6+ weeks of bruising, swelling, and scars.
Take 5 Years Off Your Appearance
Our innovative Take5 treatment offers:
Premium Results, Practical Recovery Take5 delivers exceptional results while respecting your schedule. Experience comprehensive rejuvenation that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle with just 5 days of social downtime.
Get Beautiful Results Without Resurfacing Unlike traditional ablative treatments, Take5 achieves remarkable rejuvenation without resurfacing the skin. This non-ablative approach means no bleeding, no crusting, and significantly less downtime – making it perfect for those who want real results without the healing process of more aggressive procedures.
Combine 2+ Non-Ablative Lasers Take5 strategically layers multiple non-ablative technologies, which may include Fraxel® Dual, Alexandrite, VBeam®, UltraClear®, Clear+Brilliant®, and/or IPL to deliver customized results with minimal recovery time.
Take10Eyes
Take10Eyes is a specialized approach focused on the delicate eye area, where fine lines, crepey texture, discoloration, volume changes, and skin laxity can make the face appear tired. This treatment may include under eye laser treatment, resurfacing technology, injectable treatments, medical grade skincare, or additional physician selected options.
By combining complementary treatments, Take10Eyes can address several factors that contribute to aging around the eyes. The goal is to have a brighter, smoother, and more refreshed appearance while preserving natural expression.
Advanced Laser Options at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology
Laser treatment is not one size fits all. Some patients may benefit from gentle laser skin rejuvenation with minimal downtime, while others may need a more intensive laser resurfacing treatment to improve deeper wrinkles, scars, and sun damage.
For pigmentation concerns, Pico laser treatment may be used to target unwanted pigment, sun spots, melasma, or tattoo ink with ultra fast laser energy. For redness, flushing, broken capillaries, and visible veins, laser vein treatment or vascular lasers may help reduce discoloration and create a clearer complexion.
For fine lines, texture, and crepey skin around the eyes, under eye laser treatment may be recommended as part of a broader rejuvenation plan. Since the eye area is delicate, treatment selection and technique are especially important for achieving a refreshing, natural looking result.

Laser Treatment for the Face and Body
Laser treatment for face and body concerns can address many of the most common signs of aging, sun exposure, and skin damage without surgery. Depending on your needs, treatment may focus on wrinkles, pigmentation, redness, visible veins, acne scars, texture, laxity, or overall skin radiance.
Since Cosmetic Laser Dermatology has more than 60 laser, light, and energy devices, our board-certified dermatologists can choose from a broad range of technologies instead of relying on a single device. This makes it possible to treat different layers of the skin with greater precision and recommend a plan that aligns with your skin tone, recovery preferences, and desired level of correction.

Laser Treatment FAQs
If you go for an ablative CO2 laser such as Ultrapulse CO2 or Fraxel Re:pair, you could have stronger, more resilient skin and youthful collagen and elastic fiber stores for up to several years. We generally recommend a touch-up every 5-10 years to maintain the benefit. Light nonablative lasers are more convenient because they have no downtime. But they need to be repeated several times to get the same results as one ablative treatment. And we usually recommend a touch-up every six months to a year after you’ve attained the benefits you want, with those lasers. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who is an expert at rejuvenating the face with lasers.
You need to get more collagen into those scars so that they plump up and become more even with your skin. Resurfacing the skin with Fraxel improves overall tone and resilience. Microneedling helps break up the disordered collagen and stimulate fibroblastic function in your scars, which will vastly improve the look of your scars. For deeper scars, you may need some hyaluronic-acid-based dermal filler and/or a minor surgical subcision, too. Be sure to consult a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise in using multiple therapies to improve acne scars.
CO2 laser treatment is a laser resurfacing treatment that improves wrinkles, sun damage, scars, rough texture, and advanced signs of skin aging. It works by removing controlled layers of damaged skin and supporting hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastic fiber production as the skin renews.
Patients are typically advised to avoid direct sun exposure, harsh exfoliants, retinoids, heat exposure, picking at the skin, and using non approved products while healing. Your dermatologist will provide specific aftercare instructions based on the laser used and the intensity of your treatment.
Comfort varies depending on the laser, treatment area, and depth of treatment. Many laser treatments use topical numbing, cooling, ProNox, or other comfort measures to make the experience more manageable. When deeper laser treatment requires additional support, Cosmetic Laser Dermatology also offers care in a fully accredited operating room setting with sedation when appropriate.
Laser treatment time varies based on the treatment area, device used, and depth of treatment. Some laser treatments may take as little as 15 minutes, while many appointments average approximately 30 to 45 minutes. More intensive procedures, such as laser resurfacing treatment, may take longer because they require additional preparation and recovery planning.
The best treatment for rosacea depends on whether the concern includes persistent redness, visible blood vessels, flushing, bumps, or thickened skin. For redness and visible vessels, treatments such as Vbeam laser or IPL may help reduce excess redness and support clearer, calmer looking skin. At Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, board-certified dermatologists evaluate each patient’s skin to determine which laser or light-based option is most appropriate.
The cost depends on the treatment area, the depth of resurfacing, the type of anesthesia used, and whether other procedures are included. A consultation at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology allows a board-certified dermatologist to evaluate your skin and provide pricing based on your recommended treatment plan.
The number of laser treatments depends on your skin concern, skin condition, treatment type, and desired outcome. Some patients may see visible improvement after one treatment, especially with more intensive options such as Take10 when they can accommodate about a week of downtime. For patients who prefer a lighter recovery experience, a series of less intensive laser skin rejuvenation treatments may be recommended over time to address pigmentation, redness, wrinkles, scars, or texture concerns.
Many laser treatments can be safely performed on a wide range of skin types when selected and performed by experienced board certified dermatologists. Cosmetic Laser Dermatology has extensive expertise treating skin of all colors and offers more than 60 laser, light, and energy devices, including options often used for skin of color such as PicoSure, PicoWay, UltraClear, RF microneedling, and other advanced technologies. Each treatment plan is based on your skin tone, concern, medical history, and risk of pigmentation changes to help achieve safer, more precise results.
Downtime depends on the type and intensity of the laser treatment. Lighter laser skin rejuvenation may involve mild redness for a few days, while deeper laser resurfacing treatment may require more recovery time as the skin heals and renews.
Yes, laser treatment is often combined with injectables, medical grade skincare, biostimulators, or skin tightening treatments such as Ultherapy Prime, Thermage FLX, or Sofwave. Combination plans can address wrinkles, pigment, redness, texture, volume changes, and hyaluronic acid, collagen, and elastic fiber production more completely. At Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, board-certified dermatologists design combination treatment plans to support natural looking results based on each patient’s skin concerns, goals, and recovery preferences.
