Kavita Darji, MD, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologic surgeon with advanced training in lasers, energy-based devices, and cosmetic injectables. Native to southern California, Dr. Darji is excited to practice where she calls home and is committed to providing exceptional care to her patients during their aesthetic journey.

Dr. Darji’s goal is to use her expertise, empathetic approach, artistic vision, and scientific acumen to deliver excellent care. She has unique and nuanced knowledge in the vast spectrum of neuromodulators and soft tissue fillers. She also has extensive training in a wide variety of lasers, light-, and energy-based devices for numerous skin concerns, such as redness, pigmentation, acne, texture, overall skin rejuvenation, skin lifting and tightening, and tattoo removal, among others. These include, but are not limited to, the intense pulsed light, pulsed dye laser, non-ablative fractional laser resurfacing, picosecond lasers, photodynamic therapy, lasers for acne, microneedling with radiofrequency, ablative laser skin resurfacing, and non-invasive ultrasound skin tightening devices, including Sofwave, Ulthera, and Thermage. Moreover, she offers advanced vein treatment, sclerotherapy, non-invasive body contouring, and tumescent liposuction.

Dr. Darji completed her undergraduate education at Saint Louis University (SLU) with a Biology major and graduated with highest academic honors, summa cum laude, as well as Distinction in Research. Earning enrollment in the highly competitive Medical Scholars program, she received early acceptance to SLU medical school. With a strong interest in dermatologic research, she pursued a two-year Dermatology Research Fellowship at SLU and went on to complete Dermatology Residency at SLU. By the end of her residency training, Dr. Darji developed a unique cosmeceuticals pamphlet that continues to be highly utilized for patient care, for which she was awarded the Best Resident Research Project at the SLU Annual Research Symposium.

After residency, Dr. Darji completed advanced fellowship training in Laser and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery at the world-renowned Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in San Diego with the mentorship of renowned pioneers in the field, Dr. Goldman, Dr. Butterwick, Dr. Groff, Dr. Fabi, Dr. Wu, Dr. Boen, Dr. Loyal, and Dr. Zubair. As recognition for her fellowship work, Dr. Darji received the 2024 Drs. Alastair and Jean D. Carruthers Award for the highest rated Cosmetic Dermatologic Fellow Research Abstract at the 2024 Annual American Society for Dermatologic Surgery national conference.

As Dr. Darji values evidence-based dermatologic care, she has served as an investigator of 35+ dermatologic clinical trials evaluating cutting-edge innovation and treatments with top companies including, but not limited to, Abbvie, Allergan Aesthetics, Galderma, Sofwave, Accure Acne, Acclaro, Caliway Biopharmaceuticals, Pfizer, Dermira, Novartis, Janssen, Elorac, Brickell Biotech, Eli Lilly, Verrica Pharmaceuticals, and PellePharm, among others. She enjoys presenting her oral and poster research works at an array of renowned dermatologic meetings. She has authored 30+ publications as peer-reviewed journal articles in prestigious journals, including the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, and Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, and book chapters with prominent publishers, including Elsevier.

With continued dedication to her field, Dr. Darji is a contributing member of various professional organizations, including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Skin of Color Society, and American Medical Association.

During her free time, Dr. Darji enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, visiting the beach, trying new restaurants, enjoying nature, playing tennis, hiking, and running.
