The past year has seen the FDA approval of many new technologically advanced hyaluronic fillers that create natural, smooth, lifted looks with minimal downtime. Juvederm Volbella received FDA approval in June of 2016 for use in the lips and perioral lines. It is a very soft, fluid filler ideal for fine lines and very natural plumping of the lips. It’s also a great choice for under the eyes, as the malleable texture is ideal for such a sensitive area. Restylane Refyne and Defyne, meanwhile, were FDA approved in December of 2016 for use in the midface. These fillers use proprietary XpresHAn technology to ensure the fillers can move with all of your natural expressions. We’ve been using these two fillers in order to improve the appearance of laugh lines, lift the cheeks, and plump the lips.
