ThermiTight is a minimally-invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to promote collagen production. The device offers maximum skin tightening benefits in a single treatment.
What Is ThermiTight and What Are the Benefits?
ThermiTight is a skin tightening procedure that delivers controlled radiofrequency energy into the deep tissues via a probe. The RF energy stimulates the body to rebuild collagen and elastic fibers and strengthen the skin’s structural support. Over time, new collagen and elastic fiber formation restore tighter and firmer skin with a more youthful appearance.
ThermiTight benefits include:
- Tightens loose, sagging skin
- Improves the appearance of jowls
- Reduces excess fat for body sculpting
- Treats nearly all areas of the lower face, neck, and body
- Requires minimal downtime
- Does not leave any scarring
- Works for all skin types and tones
- Offers long-lasting results
The expert dermatologists at our medical spa enhance the skin-tightening benefits of ThermiTight by combining it with other powerful procedures to dramatically tighten, contour, and enhance the chin, neck, and jawline in just one treatment. They have developed ThermiSculpt³, a proprietary treatment offered exclusively at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in San Diego.
ThermiSculpt³ combines liposculpture, ThermiTight, and injectable dermal fillers to tighten loose skin, remove submental fat, and define the chin to reshape and tighten the neck and jawline without surgery.
ThermiTight can also be combined with liposculpture in other areas like the abdomen, arms, and hips to enhance body contouring results.
How Does It Work to Tighten Skin?
A ThermiTight treatment works by delivering targeted radiofrequency energy via a probe deep under the skin. The energy heats and contracts the skin and underlying fibrous structure and triggers the production of elastin and collagen fibers, which are the building blocks of healthy and smooth skin. Through the collagen remodeling process, the skin becomes tighter and firmer.
What Is the Difference Between ThermiTight and Thermage?
The main difference between these two effective skin tightening procedures is that ThermiTight is a minimally-invasive procedure, while Thermage is completely non-invasive. Thermage uses an external applicator to deliver radiofrequency energy, while ThermiTight involves a tumescent solution and a tiny incision through which a wand is inserted to deliver radiofrequency energy to the deep layers of the skin.
What to Expect During ThermiTight Treatments
A local anesthetic is administered to numb the treatment area. Through tiny incisions, a thin probe or cannula is slipped under the skin to deliver radiofrequency energy into the tissues. The heat contracts the skin tissues and triggers collagen production. The treatment can also melt away some fat cells for subtle contouring in the treatment area.
The procedure can take anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour, depending on the number of treatment areas and the extent of correction needed in an area.
You will experience mild and temporary redness and swelling following treatment which should subside within 24-72 hours. You may also experience sensitivity in the treated areas for 3-5 days. Patients usually return to activities the day after treatment.
Am I a Good Candidate for ThermiTight Treatments in San Diego?
You may be a good candidate for ThermiTight treatments if you want to tighten loose, sagging skin or reduce mild wrinkles without undergoing surgery. You may also benefit from the procedure if you have excess fat that is resistant to diet and exercise.
