Cosmetic Laser Dermatology is excited to be one of the first practices in America to offer the brand-new ThermiVa treatment, an innovative non-invasive vaginal tightening treatment device developed by the makers of ThermiTight and ThermiLift. ThermiVa is the first non-invasive means to tighten loose vaginal skin, both the outer labia and inner vaginal canal. This not only restores the look of the vagina, but also helps with problems such as incontinence and lack of sexual pleasure due to laxity in the vaginal canal. The board-certified dermatologists at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology have special expertise in vaginal rejuvenation treatment and are among the first to be trained in using this innovative device. We look forward to helping our female patients reclaim, restore, and revive their vaginal tissue.

How Does ThermiVa Work?
ThermiVa is a completely non-invasive device that uses radiofrequency energy to tighten loose skin. It is based on the same principles as the ThermiTight device, which is FDA approved to lift and tighten skin on the face and neck. ThermiVa is the first non-surgical vaginal tightening device available, and is exciting news for women who are suffering from loose, stretched, or enlarged labia and/or vaginal canals but don’t want to undergo a surgical labiaplasty.
Many women suffer from lax vaginal canals and stretched labia, especially after childbirth. This can lead to a number of unpleasant side effects, including incontinence, lack of sexual pleasure, physical discomfort, and lack of sexual self-confidence. The ThermiVa treatment aims to address these issues in a painless, non-surgical manner.
What to Expect with a ThermiVa Treatment
ThermiVa is a painless procedure that requires no anesthesia or downtime. Patients can simply lie
back and relax while the innovative S-shaped handpiece is moved over the labia and inside the vagina, gently heating and tightening the tissue. Patients have described the sensation as a gentle, warm massage. The treatment lasts about 30 minutes, and three treatments over three months are recommended for full results.
Some people see immediate improvement directly after a procedure, while others may see gradual improvement for around two weeks afterwards. Results last for up to a year, and many patients report improved quality of life after a ThermiVa treatment. There is no need to live with vaginal laxity reduction following childbirth or simply due to age – ThermiVa can help you regain lost firmness!
Medical Benefits of ThermiVa
The TTCRF, or transcutaneous temperature controlled radiofrequency, technology utilized by ThermiVa is FDA cleared and instrumental in helping to treat a number of medical conditions experienced by women who are suffering from vulvovaginal laxity, or VVL, due to natural childbirth, the aging process, or any other cause. Natural aging causes degradation of connective tissue quality, while childbirth can cause damage and stretching of tissue that can lead to various medical conditions.
Conditions that can be helped with ThermiVa treatment include stress incontinence, atrophic vaginitis, and sexual dysfunction arising from damaged, stretched vaginal tissue. Stress incontinence is a condition in which urine is involuntarily released during sneezing, coughing, or exercise, while atrophic vaginitis is an uncomfortable condition in which the genital area is itchy and dry due to lack of natural moisture. Both of these conditions can be embarrassing and may cause a drop in quality of life.
Sexual dysfunction is another major issue that can be treated with ThermiVa technology. Many older women and women who have gone through natural childbirth experience reduced sensation during sexual activities, which can hamper intimacy with a partner and cause dissatisfaction. ThermiVa is also a vaginoplasty alternative. ThermiVa safely tightens vulvovaginal tissue and can help restore sexual sensation for women.
Treatment with ThermiVa can frequently preclude the need for more invasive surgical procedures, and can allow many women to be able to stop using oral or topical medications for their conditions. ThermiVa can help women to feel confident and comfortable in their own bodies again, without worrying about incontinence, intimacy, or other issues arising from VVL. ThermiVa vulvovaginal skin tightening is not merely about vaginal appearance – it can help improve women’s quality of life.
