ThermiTight
Restore firm, youthful contours with ThermiTight’s proven skin-tightening technology. This minimally invasive radiofrequency treatment targets loose skin on the neck, jawline, abdomen, and more, giving you smoother, tighter skin without surgery.
What is ThermiTight?
ThermiTight is a radiofrequency-based procedure that delivers controlled heat beneath the skin to contract tissue and stimulate collagen remodeling. The treatment is commonly performed on areas affected by skin laxity and may be combined with fat reduction when appropriate. Radiofrequency energy is delivered through small punctures, allowing precise internal tightening. Results develop gradually as collagen contracts and improve over time.

What to Expect from ThermiTight in San Diego
ThermiTight is performed in our operating suite using local anesthesia, with sedation offered when appropriate. The procedure allows radiofrequency energy to tighten skin and is often done alongside fat removal in the treated area. Bruising and swelling are normal and most noticeable during the first 3 to 7 days, then gradually improve. Patients typically resume light activities the following day.
ThermiTight treatment experience
- A preoperative phone appointment is scheduled prior to treatment
- Local anesthesia is used to fully numb the area
- Small punctures are created to deliver radiofrequency energy
- Compression garments are applied after treatment
- Swelling and tenderness are expected during early recovery
Post procedure instructions are provided to support healing, including compression use, activity guidelines, and follow-up care.
Treatments that work well with ThermiTight
ThermiTight is frequently combined with complementary procedures, including:
CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting targets stubborn fat deposits that do not respond to diet or exercise. When combined with ThermiTight, fat reduction is paired with skin tightening for more defined contours. This combination is commonly used to improve shape while addressing skin laxity in the same area.
CoolTone
CoolTone focuses on strengthening and toning underlying muscles using magnetic stimulation. Pairing CoolTone with ThermiTight helps enhance muscle definition while supporting tighter overlying skin. This approach is ideal for patients looking to improve firmness and tone together.
Cool³ Body Sculpting
Cool³ is a comprehensive body contouring approach that combines multiple technologies in a single treatment plan. ThermiTight contributes to skin tightening while other modalities address fat reduction and muscle tone. This layered strategy allows for more complete contour improvement with minimal downtime.
Liposculpture
Liposculpture is a foundational treatment for achieving meaningful contour improvement by directly removing localized fat through a minimally invasive technique. At Cosmetic Laser Dermatology, liposculpture is most often performed as part of the ThermiSculpt approach, combining fat reduction with radiofrequency skin tightening for more comprehensive results. ThermiTight is incorporated to support skin contraction after fat removal, helping create smoother, more defined contours as healing progresses.
Ultherapy
Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen and elastic fiber production deep within the skin. When used with ThermiTight, tightening is addressed at multiple tissue depths. This pairing can enhance overall firmness in areas affected by moderate skin laxity.
Thermage FLX
Thermage FLX uses radiofrequency energy to support collagen remodeling and elastic fiber production at the skin surface and deeper layers. Combined with ThermiTight, it complements internal tightening with external collagen stimulation. This combination helps reinforce long term firmness and structure.
Sofwave
Sofwave is a non-invasive ultrasound-based treatment that supports skin tightening by stimulating collagen and elastic fiber production at precise depths. When used alongside ThermiTight, Sofwave offers an external tightening option that complements radiofrequency-based treatments performed beneath the skin. This pairing allows patients to address skin laxity using different technologies depending on anatomy, goals, and treatment area.

5/5 STARS
I trust Farzaneh Momeni completely with my skin. She is by far the best clinical aesthetician I’ve ever known. My skin has improved dramatically since I began monthly facials with her. Her treatments are 100% results-driven so if this is what you seek, look no further. Also, the entire Team at West Dermatology are top-notch. They’re always friendly, professional, & helpful, & greet everyone with a smile. 10 Stars all around!
My new regular cosmetic dermatology office. Dr Zubair is amazing and really patient with me. He has helped me over the last year with keloid scar removal, jaw Botox, and full facial acne scar treatment (ultra clear). The office is clean and the nursing/medical assistant staff is accommodating on all levels. I will always recommend this office and Dr Zubair to friends and family.
Most professional and most impressive! The service from the physicians to office staff is superb!
I live in Orange County and drove all the way out to see Dr. Wu because a friend of mine referred him (she had amazing results from her face and neck procedure). Dr. Wu is truly an artist! He made me feel extremely comfortable during my procedure. I was anxious when I got there, but he (and his staff) have such great energy and are so very kind and gentle that you can't help but feel at ease! The office was immaculate and they adhered to covid rules (sanitizing, temp checks, masks). This is my go-to place from now on and Dr. Wu is my go-to guy! Can't wait to see my final results! Thank you Phyllis (pre-op) for being so wonderful and informative! You were so very helpful and kind! I'll definitely be back!
Leysin and the entire team at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology are fantastic. They are professional, caring and communicative. The laser treatment was comfortable, efficient and effective! I highly recommend this practice. I definitely will come back and recommend her and Cosmetic Laser Dermatology to my family and friends.
Dr. Goldman is amazing! I came here for my permanent eyeliner removal (which is not offered anywhere near me), and they are completely removed in just one session. They use a special contact lens to protect your eyes from the laser, and there are no damages to my eyelashes. The healing was also nice and smooth. They have everything you need. I live almost 3 hours away, but it was totally worth the trip. For anyone who is looking to remove their permanent makeup, this is the right place to go :)-
Dr. Butterwick is fantastic, all of her team as well. They make sure your experience is pleasant and painless as possible. My tattoo removal and my injectables look amazing. I highly recommend her for any skin treatment.
Cosmetic Laser Dermatology was recommended to me by my dermatologist. He recommended Dr. Monica Boen. I'm so glad I took his recommendation. Everyone here at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology was super nice and friendly. Very welcoming. I came here for hair removal treatment. I did 4 sessions with Dr. Boen. Dr. Boen made me feel so comfortable and at ease when I talked to her. She explained everything before she did my treatment. I loved that. She was really easy to talk to. I definitely will come back and recommend her and Cosmetic Laser Dermatology to my family and friends.
This office is awesome. My visit today was with Dr. Groff. His bed side manner is so fun and welcoming. He understood my concerns and recommended a treatment plan that I feel was reasonable. I love his staff! They take there time to make sure you understand the treatment and after care. Everyone in the office, from the front desk to the nurses in the back, are so friendly and beautiful. They are very prompt and I trust my care with CLD. I can't wait for my next visit. See you guys in a few weeks!
"Dr. Sabrina Fabi is genius! Her technique is unlike anyone, her eye is precise, and her kindness and caring manner comes from the depth of her soul. She's simply brilliant! It's no wonder people travel the country just to be treated by her."
I wish I could give them 10 stars! I had such an awesome experience for my first visit and I am referring everyone I know to this office. From the super friendly staff to the state of the art procedures, they are the cream of the crop.
“I came to participate in a research study. All of the Doctors and staff at C.L. Dermatology are very professional, warm and friendly. All our my needs were anticipated and the hospitality of this office is like a five star hotel.”
ThermiSculpt³ Neck Contouring
ThermiSculpt³ Neck Contouring is an advanced approach to improving definition along the neck and jawline by addressing multiple contributors to aging in this area. While Thermi RF technology plays a key role in tightening lax skin, optimal neck contouring often requires more than skin tightening alone. For this reason, ThermiSculpt³ commonly incorporates microliposculpture to address excess submental fat and refine overall shape.
This integrated treatment approach allows skin tightening and contour refinement to work together, resulting in more balanced, noticeable results. When appropriate, dermal fillers or biostimulators may be included to support structural definition. Improvements develop gradually, with progressive tightening and contour enhancement as healing and tissue remodeling occur.

ThermiTight FAQ
ThermiTight delivers controlled radiofrequency energy beneath the skin to contract tissue and stimulate collagen remodeling. The heat is carefully regulated to tighten skin without damaging the surface. Over time, this process strengthens the underlying support structure. Results continue to improve gradually as collagen develops.
The treatment area is fully numbed using injected lidocaine to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. Most patients do not require sedation because local anesthesia is highly effective. Some soreness and tenderness are expected afterward. Discomfort typically improves each day during recovery.
Bruising and swelling are normal and most noticeable during the first week following treatment. Compression garments are used to help reduce swelling and support tissue contraction. Most patients return to light activities the next day. More strenuous activities are usually resumed within several days.
A chin strap or ace wrap is applied depending on the area treated. Surgical tape should remain in place unless your physician provides instructions to remove it. Compression helps manage swelling and supports the tightening process. Detailed aftercare instructions are reviewed before discharge.
Some tightening may be noticed early, but results continue to develop over several weeks to months. Collagen remodeling occurs gradually, creating natural looking improvement rather than sudden change. Final results vary based on skin quality and treatment area. Patience is important during the healing process.
ThermiTight is considered safe when performed by experienced physicians. A comprehensive medical evaluation is completed before treatment. Post procedure guidelines are provided to support proper healing and reduce risks. Follow up visits help ensure optimal progress.
Driving and light daily activities are typically resumed the day after treatment. Exercise and more strenuous activities are generally resumed within 2 to 4 days. Alcohol should be avoided for at least 24 hours. Your physician will provide guidance based on your treatment area and recovery.
