The San Diego County Fair is a great activity for any summer weekend. The nostalgia from the Ferris wheel or the excitement from the twister can make for a fun day. However, there is more to explore at the San Diego County Fair than just rides. There are concerts, animals, contests, restaurants and food booths, and exhibitions and shows.

Concert genres featured include rock, R&B, country, Latin/Hispanic, pop, and comedy. In between concerts, there are other activities to pass the time, such as participating in a contest or having a bite to eat.

Some interesting contests include the pie eating contest, worm racing, watermelon seed spitting contest, best animal noises, magic contest, guacamole contest, and more.

There are also many restaurants and booths that are fun and delicious. Certain days even have special events, like inexpensive small portions of signature dishes from food booths around the San Diego County Fair. Some food vendors also have options for individuals with dietary restrictions.

After a meal or a few, the animals at the fair could be something to visit next. Like any county fair, the fair in San Diego has animals, such as pigs, butterflies, cows, sheep, goat, and other farm animals. After a full day of activities, an art exhibit or show can provide a relaxing break.

Overall, the San Diego County Fair has a variety of rides, art, music, animals, and food for a fun day. This is just one example of the various activities in San Diego that has music, art, and more. The Gaslamp Quarter is another place in San Diego that is worth visiting.
