Dr. Monique J. Wilson
Dr. Monique J. Wilson is thrilled to be an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellow at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology. Dr. Wilson is a California native who graduated summa cum laude with College Honors from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then received her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was selected to perform an additional year of intensive research in the Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship. After five years of neurosurgery residency training, Dr. Wilson transitioned into a dermatology career, completing her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. There, she served as co-chief resident and headed the expansion of the program’s resident cosmetic curriculum as the cosmetics education chair. In her final year of training, Dr. Wilson also participated in the ASDS Preceptorship Program under the guidance of Dr. Sabrina Fabi.
To date, Dr. Wilson has published 15 articles in the peer-reviewed literature, written two book chapters, and has served as a reviewer for journals. She has delivered seven presentations on review topics and her original research at national and regional meetings. She is the recipient of five competitive research fellowships to support her work in healthcare outcomes, resident education and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and Women’s Dermatologic Society.
Dr. Wilson and her husband, Dr. T.J. Wilson, spend their leisure time exploring beautiful places and delicious food.
Dr. Isabela T. Jones
Isabela T. Jones, M.D., is completing a yearlong Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology under the guidance of Dr. Mitchel P. Goldman. Dr. Jones spent 10 years in her native country of Brazil prior to living in Potomac, MD. She then graduated summa cum laude with a degree in microbiology from Cornell University, and was selected as a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar based on her academic excellence and demonstrated leadership. She went on to receive her M.D. from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where she was elected by faculty to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After medical school, Dr. Jones completed a preliminary medicine internship at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and her dermatology residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell. In her final year of residency, she participated in the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) Preceptorship Program with Dr. William Groff at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology.
During her medical training, Dr. Jones performed basic science and clinical research, published articles in peer-reviewed journals, and presented at national meetings. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, ASDS, and Women’s Dermatologic Society. She looks forward to learning new techniques and immersing herself in academic pursuits during fellowship. Dr. Jones anticipates she will use her new skills to contribute to advances in cosmetic dermatology and provide the highest quality patient care.
Dr. Jones speaks fluent Portuguese and is also proficient in Spanish. Along with her husband, Dr. Jones enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, volleyball, and traveling abroad.
