Fairbanks Ranch comprises two gated communities on approximately 1,240 acres of scenic land that was once home to the Kumeyaay and later passed under the Spanish rule followed by the Mexicans, until silent film star, Douglas Fairbanks, purchased more than 3,000 acres of the area. Today, Fairbanks Ranch is North County’s most affluent master-planned communities known for luxurious, mission-style estates, exclusive golf courses, and equestrian facilities. MARKET Restaurant + Bar is where Chef Carl Schroeder showcases his passion for product-driven cuisine that highlights California cooking with an Asian twist. The lakes not only provide a scenic backdrop for the neighborhood but a serene location for paddle boating, catch-and-release fishing, or strolling along the lakeshore.
The Fairbanks Ranch Clubhouse is the heart of the neighborhood, hosting both community and private events in its 4,000 square foot space with red-tiled roofs and graceful archways. It has a full kitchen, a fireplace, a dance floor, expansive covered and open patio areas, and an entrance overlooking the central lake.
Fairbanks Ranch does not have a large strip of malls, but there is a small shopping center in nearby Rancho Sante Fe with stores such as GSB Men’s Clothier, Ranch Cycles, Kitchen Debonaire, and Le Dimora Home Furniture & Décor. It is also home to the Rancho Santa Fe Farmers Market that takes place every Sunday.
